Epee and Sabre in Gödöllő

Where:
Gödöllő is a small village next to Budapest, approximately 30 km from the
capital. We will stay overnight in the college of the Gödöllő University. Here
you can find Grassalkovich Castle, a historic building of the 17th century.
During the following century this castle became the summer residence of the
Emperor
Franz-Josef and his wife, Queen Elizabeth, best
known
as “princess Sisi”.
When: from 16th August to
25th August. Athletes and companions should arrive at the college
before 6:00 PM and should get to the airport before 4:00 PM. Departures are on
25th August in the morning. If you have any problems, please
communicate them to us, we will find a solution.

Why:
summer stages are very important for athletes of every level
because they give the opportunity to improve your skills from an athletic and
technical point of view. Thanks to an intensive daily training, summer stages
can help the athletes to get ready for the following agonistic season. Here,
during the summer camp, you can not only go into old friendship thoroughly,
because of the living together, but also get to know new people from all over
Europe. This is an international summer camp! Here you can speak and improve
your English as well.
How: You can reach Gödöllő by plane (Budapest airport, we will come there and we will take you to Gödöllő). If you book your flight as soon as possible, you can find cheap flights with Malev, Alitalia, Lufthansa, Swiss e Wizzair. You can arrive in Budapest by train at the Budapest-Keleti-Pu railway station; we will come there and we will take you to Gödöllő too.
Who:
the Hungarian Fencing Stage is for fencers of sabre and epee
who are at least 14 years old. Tourists and companies are welcome, they can take
athletic training lessons as well, but they couldn’t take fencing lessons that
are exclusively for athletes.
The fencing coach Giorgio Vereb and the fencing trainer Daniele Bargnesi, along
with one or more Hungarian trainers of the Gödöllő fencing Club, will
attend the summer camp.

Discount for families
Payment: 250€ deposit when you apply for the stage (before 1st June 2009 with money transfer) and settlement before 15th July.
